Donations through World Gospel Missions have made it possible to make a down payment of $25,000 on for the purchase of much-needed property. The new property is part of the expansion program for the Choluteca Nursing School. The total purchase cost of the property is $257,400.

The building expansion provides several advantages to the overall nursing program:

  • Enough land to build needed classrooms.
  • The property is adjacent to a mild-processing business which will create some agricultural extension learning experiences for farmers who are part of a milk co-op.

The Lizzie Project provides some scholarship funds for students in the Nursing Program. The program is a joint-venture with the Ohio State University School of Nursing. Lives are being transformed through nursing education. Students are earning an education that will help them get good jobs after graduation. These nurses will be instrumental in improving health care throughout Honduras.
